Just bought my first Tacoma, 2017 off-road, want to do a 3 to 4 inch lift and replace the wheels and put on some aggressive looking wheels. I'm kind on information overload.

Lift: want to do it right but don't need to set it up for a rally race.

Wheels: what are pros and cons to changing the size (16, 17, 18, etc.)? Should I be looking at a standard offset and or Width to prevent rub?

Tires: I want that wide aggressive look, but still want it to be a decent road tire. Looking for more aesthetics here that actual hardcore off-road performance.

Are there particular venders you'd recommend for the lift and/or wheel-tire combo on-line sales?

Thanks in advance for tolerating what I'm sure is a newb inquiry, and for your thoughts and input.

    Congrats and welcome to TW!

Lift: I would go Bilstein 5100's with OME Coils in front, and 5100's in the rear. Gives you the lift/aesthetic, while also giving you some performance as well. Or for a little bit more money you can go with the full OME lift kit front and rear. I would stick with only lifting it 3", not 4" as you can run into more complications if you go over 3" of lift.

Wheels: Honestly that's just a personal taste thing. Some guys like more tire and less rim, and vise versa. Offset of the rims does affect rubbing, so the more aggressive your offset is the more likely you will rub. Also tire size will affect this as well. Toyo Open Country ATII are great tires that are great for on road with minimal noise and off road performance as well. Had em on my Tundra and wasn't disappointed at all.

These are just suggestions from my point of view and personal experience. I'm sure others will chime in as well with their input and thoughts.

    Final answer:

Lift: OME full lift kit OR OME/Bilstein Combo with AAL/Dakars for rear
    Wheels: StealthCustomSeries F5 16x8 -25 offset

    Tires: your choice
