2,500 lb winch would be good at the front of a light utility trailer to bring up a quad or side by side, not enough ass to get your Jeep out of a tough spot unless you use a pulley system with several lines.

Yup. When I went out to the truck it would have been easier to put my skates on. One side of the truck was caked in ice from the way the wind was blowing.

Anyone else in the BOS region have to chip for 10 min to deice their truck? I almost forgot my least favorite part of winter: Getting up earlier because of the weather! I could almost swear someone dumped water over my windshield.

Good morning peeps. Happy Friday. Getting out of work at 3 today. YES!

Was a bit icy down here last night as well as this A.M. I had an indoor soccer game at 10pm, so when I left my driveway my wheels spun a bit.

This morning wasn't as bad, but still a bit icy.

We ended up with knee deep snow at my place, but since I've got stumpy legs that's only about 14-16 inches, lol. But it was windy all night, so I had close to 3 feet drifted in front of the garage. Almost got stuck pushing the heater bank back. I was pushing it off into the ditch and rode the plow up and over the old bank and got hung up. Ended up having to push myself off with the power angle on the plow, lol. Thank god for old school hydraulic plows!

I would seriously save for a higher quality winch than one from HF. If you're going count on one you want to get one that you know is going to work. HF has a bad rep on their winches. Look at Warn, Superwinch, MileMarker, Smittybilt etc.

Here's one that is about the same price as the HF one

Welcome, couple of people from VT but they are like you and just pop up from time to time

    Sounds like fun

I had to pull the trailer to work as I am leaving to head north by 3 at the latest. Suck drive, roads are a mess. We got around 8" of heavy, wet snow in the Henniker area.

No ice for me. Thankfully..my fun was last night when Cupcake's truck key snapped in half. Somehow she was lucky the key broke trying to put it into the ignition, I'm guessing it cracked when she opened the door.
