I noticed a big change when I went from a iPhone 5 with ISO 7 to a 6 with ISO 8. Seemed like there was a different way for it screw around everyday. The big thing now is that the music won't start back up after a call. 90 percent of the time you have to go back into the phone and press play.

Think that's bad, my radio resets every time I get a text message.

I have the same issue. Mine wont pair in phone mode only Audio player mode. So annoying. Did you ever find a solution for yours?
