Just got my lighting installed into the soft topper. I decided after my last few off road vehicles that I wanted a dedicated battery and charging system for any auxiliary circuits I added. I don't want to leave a light on or chance getting a short when I'm miles from an improved road and killing the engine battery.

Rigged this up using an auxiliary battery pack with USB output. It charges off a 110v wall plugin in the inverter plug when the truck is rolling, or can be charged from any micro USB port. I also can use it to charge any USB port devices like a phone or my ham radio in an emergency. Lastly, it was cheap and didn't require running any wiring to the cab - just some cutting, soldering, and heat shrink to get the wiring right.

I'm interested too. I use 303 Aerospace on the entire topper including the window. It gets polished into the window with a microfiber cloth. Not so much worried about scratches as I am about protecting the window from UV.

Nice product. You still wanna pre-rinse particulates off first, but this is a good cleaner. The Rag Company's Eagle Edgeless microfiber towels are nice for this type of cleaning.

The same shit everyone else has.
I treat the windows the same way I treat the paint on my truck. Clean, polish, seal, maintain.

Mothers cleaner paste wax on the windows. I dont do it often though - once a year. Just like paint, if you take care of em, it takes less work to keep em clean.

Ill spent an afternoon buffing all the shit off the windows. I use a cleaner wax instead of a heavier compound because Im afraid of scratching the soft plastic. The wax works. Once they are cleaned, I seal em with Optiseal. This seals the finish for about 6 months

During the year when I wash them, I typically use a quick detailer on the windows after soap and water and about once a month, I use a spray wax on them to add a UV coating.

Its basically a once a year process of actually cleaning the windows. The rest of the time is spent maintaining the finish on them.

For the rest of the top, I use 303 on it.

Man, I love these things, are there any options with zippered windows/sided? I feel like that's a much better alternative to velcro.

Best top and Canbak do side window. I wish Softopper did and I have contacted them about doing it and I got a no because of the way it folds up. I think I'm going to see if boat tarp maker can put some in mine for me.

I hate not being able to see. I guess I'm that way from driving SUV's so much. I like the way it works, but would like to have windows.

Which brand and style do you have?
Exactly the color and style I'm looking for.
Anyone with a black 3gen with a tan soft topper?

If you take proper care of them, they wont. Plus they are removable
