    Level kit,
So the DSM300 is not a plug n play module for the Remote install kit that's sold by KBVoodoo. is there some additional wiring needed, I have purchased the DSM300 from Amazon and none of the connectors have a white plug like in your picture, my kit came with a two wire harness with a fusible link in the middle and bare wires at the end.
    Thanks
    David

Have seen it mentioned to be sure you log out after using it also. And I now hate this thread. I'm currently telling myself "you don't need this" "you don't need this" but I did the same thing with the remote start and ended up with 2.

So everything seems to be pretty much plug n play. Just need to find out if KBVoodoo programmed his kits to enable smart start or not.

I can relate, I came from a former Soviet Union and we had a 79 lada, heater is a luxury we couldn't afford. We're spoiled to the max here, but im not complaining

For anyone doing this here is a couple notes

The smart start doesn't have to be at the top of the dash. I installed mine in the same spot as the remote start unit (between the ecu and bcm). The older units were not as good but the vsm 300 and 350 are no longer directional.

Even with the improvements, I would think your location is optimal. This is cell signal we're talking about so higher is better and you want minimal obstructions. May only be an issue in marginal signal areas but better safe than sorry.

Apple watch is so slow... It took way too long on that demo video in my opinion. Yes I've had the Apple Watch since it was first released and it's too slow on pretty much any aftermarket app.

I just emailed KBVoodoo to confirm that they are shipping out the dball2 flashed with this capability. I have already installed my remote start and and now I want to add this Smart Start kit.

    Good to know.

Lastly, does this smart start kit come with the connector that plugs into the dball2? I assume it is a white one since that is the only connector I saw on the dball2 that didn't get anything plugged into for remote start to work.

Awesome. I have plenty of wire to use to extend wires and I have the same sleeving to use to keep it clean or at worse I can use black loom, but that sleeve stuff is nicer & easy to work with

All remote starts are flashed to adapt a smart start at a later date
