I have been modified worn out shifters on XRU for several years. I have also done them for a few members here.

I buy old shifters and refurbish them. I remove the old worn out internal rubber bushings and replace them with a polyurethane epoxy. This will make the shifter very firm and will far outlast the stock shifter. In this process, I usually cut the height of the shifter down 1 ~ 1 1/2 inches.

Today, I have a shortened OEM shofter (9 1/2") for a 2WD, including X-Runners. This one is approximately 9 1/2" from the bend (Stock is about 11 1/2"). Stock rubber internal bushings have been removed and replaced with a polyurethane epoxy. This will shift much firmer than a stock shifter. This works best when paired with an URD SS.

Price is $120 shipped + your old oem shifter. I ship the shifters with a new white tip bushing.
