Finally got around to putting dedicated tunes in the shop. Sony sure knows how to build receivers and speakers.

 

Tunes ftw. I have a dedicated iPod and computer speakers in mine.

Small 2 car garage that's a friggen mess still from this winter.

 

Can't come close to competing with some of these. But here's my little workshop. Too small for the Taco, but holds all the two wheeled toys.

 

My garage is slowly shaping into its final form.

 

I just had this 26x28 pole building built. $15k total cost with a insulated roof, windows & doors and a 6" concrete floor. Still have some work to do .

 

Garage in progress... It was open to the roof and had wood paneling on the walls. I stripped it clean and added joists to make an attic. Then I added drop down stairs, wiring for lights, insulated then drywall.



Between the wall studs I added wire shelves for storage (cut up closet wire shelves). I was originally going to insulate the walls but decided I needed more storage.


Laundry room at the back of the garage. Same thing: stripped, re-wired, insulated then drywall. Took out big sliding doors and added a regular man door. Bought some old cabinets off craigslist.




Bought unfinished oak flooring and installed it as a countertop. Still needs to be sanded, maybe stained then urethaned.

 

Workshop

 

Here is my workbench. I was having a load bearing problem but fixed it with a second layer of cardboard.

 

I build this work table for my motorcycle last night.

This is my "workshop," complete with an in-progress chuck-box build:



That tiny table up front is something I built from a 3"-thick slab of maple a few years ago. Bought those chairs for $20 from a local restaurant, re-finished and re-upholstered to match the table.

Most of the power-tool work (table saw, mitre saw, circular saw) happens in the hallway.

 

Here's my little corner of the shop I rent with some other guys at work. It's an old machine shop so it's decked out with fully insulated walls/ceiling, huge gas furnace, AC, 220V power, and pre-plumbed air lines throughout.
