    Hello
If things work out I will be getting a new 2017 TRD Sport. This will be Toyota number 7 for me. Im interested in installing oem TRD Cat-Back exhaust. What info I have found in quiet dated. I have found out nothing about hp increase.
    Your input would be nice.

First get measurments.... if the tubing is same size as stock, then just get a muffler welded on stock tubes and save a bundle.
For the 2nd gen i think it was stock size tubing, which is a joke to pay a premium for in the performance realm. You can ALWAYS do better for cheaper.

The parts are on a shelf somewhere and avail from the actual manufacturer for a fraction of the price because it doesnt have a silly TRD stamp or etching on the tip.

    Because there isn't.

It does sound different, and it is purdy.

Question is, is it worth the price of admission for those items?

Find a 18" muffler you like and have it installed with the stock pipe is the best dollar for dollar mod.
That will give you some good sound, better performance and not crazy loud.
I like the straight round muffler. https://www.magnaflow.com/products?partNumber=12645
I you don't want it louder stick to the stock exhaust.
If you want more top end power make a 2 1/2" cat back, but you may loose some low end torque.
