Any body install this with an aftermarket air box, or supercharger? I am finally looking to install mine and the space is looking pretty tight.

Wonder if you could run tube from the hats and then use reinforced strap across the top to save space.

Hey Guys, I messaged dirt designz to see if he was still up for doing another group buy and he obliged if we could get 5 confirmed buyers. I'd like to get a set myself for my FJ cruiser so could we have a show of hands who's still in? I'm a noob here, but active on FJ forums if you have any questions. I'll most likely start a new thread after we get some momentum here because this page has most of the info already. Also since it seemed the original group buy was invoiced by dirt designz himself, no need to worry about me handling your goods. Just here to organize and participate. Prices will be offered for the same as the original group buy.
$80 for the DIY and $128 for the welded bracket. Shipping is flat $15 rate in the connecting 48. Additional shipping may apply for other territories.

In it to win it. Name/Vehicle
    1. jamesepoop/07 FJ Cruiser

    Edit: confirmed pricing above

The problem their lies in the fact that not all of our coil buckets line up exactly the same as they did when they left the factory and odds are that you'd end up with a hoop that doesn't match.

If you are still in the Bay Area @JLee most likely can help you get the crossbar measured and bent.

Sounds good. Three more people and we can get this party started.

Bending the hoop would be the easier part of this modification. Finding a quality machined and welded piece that dirt designz is offering is not quite so. If you look at any of the other cross over brackets/double shock hoops offered by big names they're not as well thought out and you're shelling out 4x the cost. Hopefully if you're still interested, you can get a proper hoop.

Sounds good. I think it shouldn't be too difficult. I assume everyone is in for the already welded brackets. Please specify if you need DIY

If you are on the fence remember that they come with a provision for a secondary shock hoop. So if you plan to add a secondary up front later you will have part of the solution in hand with these.

I love mine and they definitely make a difference.

Yeah. I'm in for the welded brackets.

I'm waiting on a Baja Kits +2 kit, so a bypass shock could be in my future. Just not with the initial install.

Would this conflict at all with a secondary bypass mounting bar that bolts onto the top of the coil bucket? I have a TC 3.5 front and plan to get their bypass part that connects to the top of the coil bucket. If so, then unfortunately this wont work for me.

With this, you'd build your own secondary shock hoop. Much nicer in design and aesthetics in my opinion than the TC hoop.. This sits flush mount on the coil bucket whereas the TC has a strange spacer design that sits far off the coil bucket. Because they welded the hoop from the middle...

It might be possible to modify the TC hoop to work with this by cutting off the part that bolts to the coil bucket.
