I ran Palomar Divide Road off of the 79south a few months ago. I only have 2wd and it was a great trail with a couple of side hill climbs if you're feeling adventurous. I recommend it.

Is anybody looking to go out on Friday? I have to be in Azusa anytime before 5pm to pick up some axles so anything in the area would be great. I have 3" strut spacers in the front and 3-pack aal in the rear. 33" toyo at2's. I also have a compressor so airing down/up is not an issue if needed.

Nearly all of Anza Borrego / Ocotillo Wells ORV is 2wd friendly; Fish Creek/split mountain, Font's Point, etc... Only a handful of 4x4 required spots exist Pinyon Squeeze and Diablo Dropoff(but conditions are subject to change); and generally you can avoid them. Off 78 east of Banner you have the Oriflamme/Rodriquez Canyons which are fun for a day trip.
A lot of area and sites to see. Just be mindful of the rules and regulations which apply for the area you are in. And for safeties sake, don't wheel alone - but do come prepared to be self-reliant.

    Anza Borrego Map

A little closer to home (west side of Palomar Mtn) check out the Nate Harrison Grade - be mindful of winter conditions.

A bit farther away for most, but a nice collection of short trails can be found in Corral Canyon OHV off of I-8 east of Alpine. 2WD and you can just enjoy the perimeter trail.

Out Anza way, 2WD can get you to Bailey's Cabin and Mt. Santa Rosa

Remember also that 'Adventure Passes' are required on Federal Land; incl San Bernardino National Forest and the Cleveland National Forest areas.

There's a lot more out there. Get out and explore..

I'd love to get out to one of these 2wd friendly spots too. Does the big bear trail lead into the city?

How muddy is it out there right now with all the rain lately? I almost got stuck at a construction site a few weeks ago in about 6" of mud up to the rims! LOL. It wasn't the silt type mud, but freshly excavated and couldn't read how soft it was till I hit it. Found some really long puddles to clean off the tires though before mall crawling at Starbucks.
Would love to check out Hungry valley!

No idea. There is a group of 4x4s going tomorrow around 9 am. Prerunner here tho so I don't know if I'll tag along with them, don't want to hold them up. I can't imagine it being that bad, there was snow on the hills but we (gf and i) were planning on just hitting the main fire roads and easier trails just to see the sights and get outta town for a few hours

Awesome. I don't have shit. Usually don't wheel since it's the dd, we have another toy for that, but can't justify hooking up the trailer and dragging it up there for just a few hours of screwing off.
