TLDR: ticking noise coming from behind glove box at low blower speed.

First off, this site has brought me a wealth of knowledge and I am more than happy to be a part of it. I have owned Toyotas all my life but recently invested in a 2006 Tacoma access cab. It's a fantastic truck but I have one minor issue that I was hoping could be resolved. I tried googling/searching the forum for the answer but didn't quite find what I was looking for. The problem is.... there is a quiet ticking sound coming from behind my glove box. It is pronounced when the heater is in low blower speed but ceases (or at least I can't hear it) when the heater is going full blast. I've had people ride with me and ask if they could hear is as well and some can/some can't. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I drives me nuts!

Also, If this is posted in the wrong spot please let me know.

    First, welcome to TW.
Second, have you pulled your cabin filter to make sure you don't have debris or mice going through the filter?

Welcome to the TW,congrats on the new truck.Sorry to here about the fan ticking noise.I have not had this problem, but some on here have had small rodents get in the HVAC system and build nests. This may be the problem. Just do a search on here for a thread,I know there is something on it. Or post a new thread, good luck, they are great trucks.

Also, please adjust the title using the thread tools option in the upper right corner to something more specific - such as "blower motor noise", so folks don't get worked up thinking someone is in need of real help. It will also aid people in future searches for a solution to this same problem.

    Welcome to TW!
