    Hey Everyone

I have a 2000 3.4 V6 Taco and my damn air compressor seized. I cant afford to take it to the shop so I'm looking to replace it myself. It'd be my first time really working on anything automotive so please forgive me for future dumb questions. I'm really not even sure where to look for parts. any help would be appreciated.

    THANKS.

If it seized, you will more than likely have to flush out the system with denatured alcohol or acetone. Typically when they seize they send metal shaving through the system. I would get a new drier, Denso compressor and O-ring kit once you have flushed out the system. It is not really a hard job, but the compressor is a little tough to get to, and depending on how much, if any metal is in the system, you may have replace your expansion valve.

The compressor is going to be expensive, and if you have a shop pull a vacuum on the system and recharge it, you are looking at another $100-150. I had the same issue, it ended up costing me over $500 to get everything replaced and working again.
