What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Our lights are set up the same, my stock high beams are H9 also. I bought 3 identical sets of H11 LED lights, high beam, low beam, fogs, all fit like a glove. The H9 and H11 prongs are slightly different but not different enough to cause a problem. Not in my case anyway.

 

I did a thing!

 

Good luck with getting it off and salvaging the double sided 3M tape. You should of watched a Youtube video of how they put them on. Nice if you have an extra set of hands.

 

Ok got ya. I figured one could probably fiddle around and make the H11 fit in the H9 openings if they tried long enough!

 

Front end was saggin. Swapped out the Factory FOX 13" coils for some King 14"

Applied yellow Lamin-x film to the fogs. Came out good and was a pretty easy install. Took off the whole fog light housing and did it inside to get better coverage on the cover. Wet the housing a bit to center it the. Pushed out the bubbles and let it dry.

 

The yellow definitely looks good on the blue. I was gonna do the film, but decided to go the cheap yellow bulbs route.

 

installed MBRP skid plate it was made good and strong

 

Just a simple sticker for me, least till I save up for some other cool things that are on my list.

 

First wash/clay/wax complete at 9k

 

So it might not be the best photo, or the best plastidip job I've ever done, but I was sick of the chrome and I'm one step closer to my stormtrooper truck.

 

...Nope, not sure?....They certainly could be homeless, but at least they have plenty of gear?....

...However, the driver was a white-haired old-fart...just like me...and looked like he had been doing this for some time comfortably and successfully...

...which could also mean a retired couple who sells their home and hits the road once the kids have grown and left the nest?....( I have met many of them on my travels )...

...but as this was also the Thursday before the big holiday weekend....MANY of the folks on the road were taking advantage of the time off and going camping...

...Whatever the reason....those folks looked fully-prepared for just about any eventuality?........

I have yellow lights on also just thought having the yellow color on or off and the fils would look better lol. I've seen some on the Barcelona Red and it looks awesome. I say get some. They always have like 20% off. I got mine for $11 after the discount and shipping.

 

I lost this peice.... anyone know the replacement part? I think I lost it when I was blowing out my car or somewhere else. Oops.

 

Yeah go to the Toyota dealer... They have plenty just sitting out in the lot haha.

 

Just spit balling here but guessing Toyota will charge you $75 or something stupid like that. I say, fabric store, some felt, scissors, done!

 

I'll probably have to get the film. Yellow does look good on Barcelona red. Hell yellow looks good on just about all tacomas ha
