Well living in LA you have to tie everything down, lol. But no, i was going to guide some friends on a part of the LA river that is really lush and has trees and birds and is about 30' wide. Not the typical cement part of the LA river everyone thinks about. Anyway we unload the boats riverside, and go and park my truck and came back and my boat (Perception Avatar 60lbs!) is just gone. I search for 3 hours, nothing. Then 2 months later, i get a phonecall that someone saw it and i went and got it out of the river...and it was the day before my b-day! A lot of homeless live by the rivers down here and some locals said they had probably taken it. Im still in shock i got it back.

    I'm so glad!

I should have clarified... was it found just left lying around? Whomever stole it just abandoned it?

After our annual New Year canoe trip I scored a couple new blades for the price of one:D

Edit: the single piece blade has traveled the western hemisphere, just wish I had been with it.

Our kayaks travel with us whenever we can take them. She get's the Hurricane Santee 116 Sport and I get the Dagger Axis 10.5. I'm constantly jealous of how lightweight the Santee is. Crazy light in comparison!

Once we start getting run off and or more rain in the mid-atlantic my kayak stays on the rack until I decide I'm too cold for the year again.

I remember when you told us that it was ripped. I was bummed out for you because you said you really loved it. Awesome to hear that despite some wear and tear you got your baby back.

Yeah thanks bro. I was so lucky to get it back. Haven't used it much cause its been raining a lot here in SoCal, but i'm going to paddle it very soon, in March up in Morro Bay. Here is an old shot of my fav spot up there to paddle. In the distance is Morro Bay Rock.

Been hitting the 'local' reservoir quite a bit this spring. Hoping to repeat my win in the kayak fishing tournament for another Hobie Outback, so gotta practice...FB_IMG_1491683640635.jpg

Bass have been fun, but I've lately been targeting walleye. Caught 4 nice ones this weekend despite the snow and wind.
