im in the market looking for a 17 trdo/r 4x4.
i have never own a 4x4 before, so some of my questions or where im coming from might sound not so smart to some of you guys on here, i guess that is why we have this forum.

BECAUSE IT IS A 4X4, DOES THAT MEAN THAT IT HAVE A FRONT AND REAR DIFFERENTIALS?
WHAT KIND OF DIFFERENTIAL(S) ARE IN THE TRD PRO VS TRD OFF ROAD 4X4?

i read somewhere in an article it says that the trd pro have a LSD for the front diff and an electronic control locking diff in the rear. Is that true? if so, what about the TRD off road 4x4, what does it have then?

    thanks

    Troy

Troy yes a 4x4 will have front and rear differentials. On your test drive check and see if the rear differential howls on the freeway.

i did read it but its confusing....for the trd off road it say automatic LSD, and nothing about electronic control locking diff, but on the trd pro description, it says both, automatic LSD and electronic locking rear diff. so i wasnt sure whether the trd off road 4x4 have the same as the pro or something else.

but then i read on an article online, that the front is an LSD, not automatic LSD like the toyota web description

You will learn smitty is a troll and he believes all turdgens have incessant problems out of the factory and anyone who says they have no issues of any sort are liars. He wishes turdgens could be self aware and commit suicide because that would finally fix the howls, creaks, transmission shifting woes so they go away finally

The Off Road and the Pro have the Rear Electronic Locking Diff, the TRD Sport does not.
