++ Wheel Offset/Aggressive look

I want my wheels/tires to stick out more than they do. My current setup is to flush with the fenders. I want something more aggressive looking that sticks out of the fenders. anybody know what kind of offset I might be looking for or what brand of wheels stick out more?

 

i had some 16x8s on a tahoe of mine, wtih the 3 5/8 backspacing instead of the usual 4 1/2 or 4 5/8s, they stuck out pretty good.
only thing is, the rocks get kicked up against your paint and its almost impossible to keep it clean since any puddles or anything will splash up all along the side.

Why not just get wheel spacers? Alot cheaper than a new set of wheels....

 

I could sell my current Set up and get all new stuff for only a little bit more. Wheel spacers will cost me $200!!!

 

I would probably stay away from wheel spacers...there's just something about those that seems unsafe. Anyway, I have Dick Cepek DC-1 (17x9) wheels with 4.53" of backspace. I wrapped those with Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/70/17. My tires stick out from the fender about 1.5 to 2 inches.

I'm not sure if you can see the tires stick out in my pic, but maybe the rear tire can give you an idea.

Roxspin, I love it when you post pics of your rig...like I've always said before, yours is the best SpeedWay Blue I've seen yet, IMO.

 

my old wheels/tires had a nice offset i wish i knew what they were. here are some pics of the old chrome wheels with nitto's and the new black wheels with sumitomo sport tires.

 

I bet if you went with 4.5", you'd probably be pretty good, especially if you went with widers tires to boot.

 

like the first set better... Wheel spacers would be a good mod...

 

Yeah i liked the first set better to but i sold them . But i made $200 profit selling them and then got a great deal on my current set up. I think i might throw on some TG's or Open Countries and wheel spacers. I cant seem to get the alignment right, so i might also have to invest in some TC UCA's.

 

Ya, I just put on some TC UCAs yesterday...made a big difference. It doesn't feel like I swirl around the road anymore after hitting some bumps or ruts. Very stable feel.

 

Man they are so expensive for those TC UCA's. Is it worth it to put em on my truck if Im 2wd and dont do much Offroading? Or is there a less expensive way to get my alignment straight?

 

somewhere around 4 1/2 backspace. the lesser the bs the more they stick out. you cannot get your alignment perfect with stock uca's and a lift. total chaos and Icons are awesome. but toytec has some for alot cheaper.
