    Backstory,
I bought a couple of used stock coils and top hats from a member here selling them. I purchased brand new Bilstein 5100s and a bushing and washer kit online.
While assembling, I left out the dust boots as directed on this forum. After bottoming out the teflon nut, there is slack between the bottom cushion and the top hat, leaving room for the middle retainer to rattle.
I read on someones post here that there should be 3 cushions per side but the kits only come with 2. Is that correct? Is the reason I have slack due to not using the boots?
    Any ideas are much appreciated.

I ran into this the first time I installed this lift on a second gen. Got the front all buttoned up and lowered and there was the same slack you mention. I put the dust covers with that metal spacer built in them on and then I was good to go. If you didn't wanna run the covers, perhaps just remove that spacer/washer from the dust boot and install it?
