Dont we all! haha. Waiting to pay off the truck to get all those things.

I never thought about rust being a problem in hawaii. But with all that salt in the air i can see why...

Thinking back... I saw someone had stretched a net across the top of their camper to create an "attic" of sorts...

Just a thought here... why dont you attach the LEDs to the camper? Just add a quick disconnect for power and removing the shell should be easy. Just an idea, Where are you going to have this "bar" mounted? Near the front/rear/middle. How many bars to you want?

I have the info on that net in my inbox. Pretty cool way to do it.

I will take a picture tomorrow and do something up in paint while at work to show you.

But this is not only for shell lighting, but for something else that I have laying around the house that I am going to wire in as well.

How long did they say it would take on your sliders? I ordered from relentless and they said 10-12 weeks due to all the orders during black friday / cyber monday.

And I completely forgot to take a picture this morning.

I have two of these in Red from my previous truck that I am planning on installing as well so if I am ever pulled over on the side of the road, I have some good lights to alert people.

Yep, I had two in my first truck when I was a volunteer firefighter, they have been in a box ever since I moved. So thought I would mount them there just in case I ever had be on the side of the road helping someone or fixing something on the truck.

You could use them off road too! Turn them on at night and make it easier for people to see/find you!

Very true, except I don't know how they will work being behind the tinted glass of the rear shell window.

I need to look and see as I may have butchered one on a previous project I was working on, if so I may buy another one but in Amber, so would have one Amber and one Red.

The one i was looking at had 4 white LEDs and 4 amber LEDs that flashed. And i thought that having red was illegal, or is it just red & blue combos?

    Red and Blue.

I ran solely red only on my truck and never had issues. It really depends on the state.

One Red and One Amber would work pretty well, or unless I did not butcher this other light, a Red, Amber, Red combo would be perfect with the amber being independent of the reds.

That would look pretty sweet! How are you planing to mount them in your shell? To the crossbars were were talking about building? I assume they all will be rear facing?

Yes sir. That is why I want to do the cross bar set up. To be able to mount some shell lighting and those on there. and keep them just right below where the roof starts so they don't get in the way of loading stuff in and out and such.

    @Vanguard @ChadsPride @ETXTacoma @hoarder23

So i ordered a quick fist mount kit and a high lift mount. Have any of you mounted anything straight to the bed sides and not the rails? What hardware should i use to mount this high lift mount? Also do you think i could use wall ancors to hold the quick fists to the side of the bed?

I have always used the bed rails with T-slot nuts for mounting things
