I actually wanted the spruce mica, but i lookd for almost 2 years and just couldnt find one the way i wanted, and a white one come along so i bought it. It was exactly what i was looking for. I have had a few white vehicles so it wasnt that big of a deal for me. But the next one i buy will either be cement or quicksand. Love both of those colors, so id be happy with either. Knowing my luck, they wont make those colors anymore when its time for me to buy my next new truck.

I wanted QS. Wife wanted blue. So we compromised and got blue.

I wish they had made the Baja back then in this color. Im not a huge fan of red as all my parents vehicles were red! But damn if this color doesn't pop! Do what you want OP, but man I would be pumped with that unique color!

I only wanted Inferno and while I do like it I think if I had it to do over again I would choose red. If I thought I could sell my topper I would order me a PRO, I really want a sunroof!
But it is a nice truck, have had NO issues with it and it just turned over 10k miles.

The inferno and QS seem like cool colors, but they also seem like they'd have no staying power.

It's like those orange carpets in the 70s. By the time the 80s rolled around people were scoffing at that style.

Ditto on the Spruce Mica, if it had been available that would have been my choice. Still happy with QS, but could have taken white or MGM, maybe blue. Never black, just too much work.

For me Inferno is the color I like to see someone else own, just a bit loud for me, but still perk up when I see one.

Color choice is very subjective, it's the least important decision in automotive purchase, but still the one people agonize over the most. I have stuck with this tenant on more than a dozen new vehicle color choices...the color that you are instantly wild over is the one you will grow tired of the fastest.

Edit: I'm pretty sure that 80% of the people that like Quicksand, would not even consider it if it were listed on the sales brochure as Beige or Tan.

Spruce mica and that old blue color look pretty sweet! But I had wanted a silver Tacoma since highschool and when that was the only TRD or on the lot it made my choice much easier.

I have been here OP. I sold my 07 Tacoma that I bought right off the dealer floor because I got so sick of the color (Impulse Red Pearl) after a couple of years. I'm just not a fan of red.

Not me. Waited till I found what I wanted. Harder to do sometimes when you buy used, as the overall condition and options on the vehicle are more important factors than the color.

Be sure to post pics. Can't quite imagine dropping coin to wrap a new >$32k ride, but will be interested in seeing results.

    Amen.

Too many fall to impatience or instant gratification. Both of which accelerated in the late 60's with the advent of the microwave oven and credit cards with mag strips.

    Absolutely.

Unless they are like my wife, who doesn't care what I drive looks like

Curious why you wish you would've gotten another color. As @adio said I don't think I've heard another inferno owner not like it.

I'd say the same applies to color.

I was very specific in what I wanted as to color. It meant I had to order my truck. I still was able to get a great deal, I just had to wait a bit. Three weeks wait to get exactly what I wanted was well worth it since I tend to keep vehicles a long time.

The inferno is SUUUCH a beautiful color man! I got mine in super white, but only because I worked at Toyota at the time and they needed a sale for the month and gave me a killer deal on it. It was the only one on the lot. If I could have picked any color, it would have been Inferno or Quicksand in no order, next would be MGM - but white works too!

I told the sales guy that silver was my first choice, gray was my second choice, but I would take a black one if he could find it on another lot and get it reallocated quickly. Due to a language barrier, that registered in his mind as 'order me a black one.' When it got here 3 months later I didn't bitch, I just took it. I like it a lot, but I'd have preferred the other two colors just because the black is so hard to keep clean.

My problem was I liked all the colors available at the time so couldn't decide. Went with MGM and don't regret it. However everytime I see another color I think how awesome they look but still like MGM.

When I got to the dealership I told the guy I wanted a white 4x4 with the tech package, I'd consider other colors. They had a red SR5 with tech package that wasn't 4x4, and an inferno TRD 4x4 with tech package. I test drove the TRD.

I got inferno because they gave me a good deal on it. Color really isn't very important to me in the end and they said they'd get me a white one or give me an extra $500 off the truck and throw in a hard folding tonneau (undercover flex), so I took the deal on the one they had in stock.

I have an inferno but every time i see an MGM with black wheels, i drool. The color is really growing on me. So frustrating, but i have no complaints.
