^^ if you're going offroading with it.

If you're sure you going to be city slickin, then stick to your nerfbars.

I'd still lean towards solid items.
    But guess it's subjective.

You're saying nerf bars == bull bar? Usually nerf battles == week ass sliders, and don't hit the engine.

Welcome, I just sold my tube steps to my friend since I ordered some sliders. Get whichever you want. Sliders for offroading or tube steps for on roading.

    Welcome to TW!

This damn near turned into another Ranger thread.

So it went missing for a year after the PD recovered it? What did the PD use it for? .... radar? .... groceries?... shopping for tulips and daisies? :anonymous:

I ended up with a Taco because the Ranger was discontinued. I had 2 90's, a 93, and a 98. Seems to be common around here.

    Welcome to TW!!

Well, if the Rangers were available now, that would have made 4 trucks I would have looked at (Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, Nissan Frontier and Ranger), but I still might have ended up with the Tacoma, hard to say. I have seen the Rangers they are selling in Europe, though, and they look like nice trucks too!

The Nissan was tempting, it was about $3K less and was a pretty bronze color. Also seemed to have more bells and whistles than the Tacoma (e.g. backup sonar, dual climate control and a sliding truck extender in the bed), but went for the Tacoma anyway. Hope I don't regret it!

Not going to be off-roading with the truck really, it's more for hauling stuff in my case as well as being a 2nd vehicle (1st is an Outback, although that's my wife's), so went with Predator steps instead of Sliders. I liked the look of the Predator steps vs the oval nerf bars myself, although some of those looked good as well. I also added some AVS rain guards. One more upgrade in the works - going to add a bed mat as I noticed that the bed is quite slick without that (and stuff slides around easily). Here is a picture with the new steps and rain guards:
