Yes. Well, Nov of 2016 so, yeah, a couple months ago. Mint condition from Arizona, 04 TRD OR and brought it to Texas. Did a few things to it (i.e. money pit).

Here is a "cool story Bro" along those lines: Had a very nice 3rd Gen PRO pull up to me at a stoplight about a week ago, he motioned to roll my window down. He went on about my truck, loved it, he had a 1st Gen before and shouldn't have sold it, yada yada. We were talking like old friends...till the cop behind me blew his siren and violently motioned for me to go since we missed the light. :rofl:We both laughed and took off.

    Thanks for the compliment.

I ordered mine without driving it.
I drove a sport model the day before I took delivery.
I love my truck. No regrets. Coming from a 2006 taco.

I feel your pain OP. I'm in same situation...All is not lost. The truck could be worse.

Its the little things like being underpowered, 15mpg or not having a clip to put your gas-cap while filling up with gas when that feature was on 1st Gen that eats at me.

The other confirmed issues (Brake pedal/driveline vibration, rear end howl, and shortcomings of the transmission) are what add to the little things mentioned above and have completely soured my opinion on the truck.

And you can check my IP all you want...Just my opinion.

I do love the looks of the truck though...see I am not all against it! Soon enough since I hate the fact that I will lose money on a trade in for an F150 or Silverado, I will likely do the obligatory 3rd gen bro TRD Pro grill swap and accept my fate.

Yes you can stick it on the clip...or buy a hanger and use 3M tape to hold it on. But its still not a riveted piece of metal that holds the cap. This is a step backwards.

Interesting. As you mention my 04 has a "cup" to hold the cap and my wife's new Pilot has a crappy one. Odd the 17 doesn't have this since Toyota obviously had one in prior years. Agreed, seems to be a miss.

Like my old cars: just dangling from the cord banging against the paint. Ug.

Welcome to TW OP. I also went from an 04 to the 3rd gen. Loved my 04 and the 3rd gen feels completely different. Better in some ways and not so great in others. Good luck with your new truck.

You're not really meant to feel things in a new vehicle.

Feeling things means parts are worn out lol
