So I just got an alignment after installing an OME lift with 885s and light racing UCAs. I also have the spindles welded with the Total Chaos gussets.
My shop didn't give me the pre and post alignment numbers (they rebuilt the LCAs with energy suspension bushings). They said they had trouble getting the steering wheel straight because the tierod end on the right is in as far as it goes. The truck drives great.
Has anybody else had an issue with a tie rod being all the way in after a lift?

There was another poster that had this same issue. I think he ended up cutting a half inch off.

Hmm. Guy said I needed a shorter tie rod.

If there is room on the other tierod you could always jump the steering shaft over a tooth or two. Takes 2min.

I'll look into it. Thanks. Is it possible I screwed up the tie rod while I had the spindle out?

Not unless you twisted it multiple times for no apparent reason? Even then they could just untwist it.

What about the other tie rod end?? Is it turned most of the way out? Here's what the shop should have done....

Center the rack and tie rods, center the steering wheel, then align..... making sure to adjust both TRE's the same amount.

I did lose track of it, I would have twisted it once at the most. I hope

What's the procedure? I'd rather not go back for an alignment again
