I've been looking for a remote start system that could be plug and play for the new tacomas PTS that you could basically unplug for when you need to go in for work at the dealers.. I found one available on ebay. It's using the dball2 system plus a T-harness. All you have todo is splice into 2 wires in the steering column. He also has them all programmed to use smart start aswell.

He is very knowledgeable with these installs as its what he does for a profession. Provides contact info for direct help aswell.

I will post updates when I receive it and install it. I'm probably installing with the smart start system asw ell.

Mention "Midvale496" in the notes if you purchase.

I understand why you don't want to splice into the factory harness but I don't know why you would give a damn about taking your car to the dealer, or why you ever would.

It only goes for service and warranty work. I was already told by Toyota that any mods or additions to electrical and or computer system voids warranty which is why this system would be great

    Still waiting for it
    That's nicely done.
I don't see where it splices into the can hi/lo that you hit off the obd2 port.

Also doesn't clearly address how he deals with "auto" lights
