Advice needed on Tire size change

I have seen alot of old posts on max tire size for various lift scenarios so a little more help from you guys would be a huge help.
Current setup is a 2007 D-Cab TRD, stock rims and I have icon 2" coilovers in the front and icon res. shocks in the back on Alcan springs (set at 2'' too). Current tires are 265/75/16 Big O AT's. They have 54,000 miles and still have tread to spare. No mud flaps left on the truck (somewhere in Moab or the west desert of Utah chasing coyotes). No rubbing at all with my current setup. I don't want to change the suspension any more (UCA's etc) but spacers are OK if needed. Minor rubbing is OK for me. Off roading is 1x a week in the desert but no serious off roading done. My current tires work great for me situation and they wear great as I drive alot (74,000 miles so far on my 07). 285's too big etc etc? Thanks for any input.

 

if your coilovers are set at 3'' of lift you should be fine with 285s with minor trimming

 

If my lift is 2" what size tire would be ideal/work and will I need spacers (if so what size of spacers?) or not? Minor trimming is OK but what about the UCA's. Thanks again!!

 

if your only going with a 2 inch you might as well stay with the 265s. it will fit with no modifications and will allow full articulation.

 

Could I go any bigger with just using spidertrax spacers, no mud flaps but keep the stock UCA's? Or do I start getting into chopping the wheel wells. Minor rubbing say in reverse is OK with me but less is better on my 2007.

 

with the spacers you should be fine on the UCAs. if you really want to put the 285s on you should just crank the coilovers to 3'' or at least 2.5''

 

Thanks for the quick response. If I crank up the coilovers does that affect the driveshaft or anything else negatively?
