I don't have many of the awning room itself. I got it last minute before a trip to Maine as the weather wasn't looking so good and didn't want to spend time throughout the day laying in our ground tent. Haven't used it since. I'd say a queen bed and large dog would fit fine in the 2000 awning room. At the time we had a queen air bed from Alps Mountaineering in our tent with room for a dog bed and a little extra floor space. I believe the foot print of the awning room is a little bigger than my ground tent. So the 2000 would work out for you to camp in but that 2500 would give you a lot more room and can't beat that price..

looks determined and at the same time confused.

nothing like mans best friend to help warm up the tent.

that is an epic looking campsite.

How has this griddle worked out? I always have bad luck with mine maybe because I buy the cheap Ozark Trail or whatever is on sale at Big 5. The last one I had was definitely Non stick ruining my pancakes and the paint on the bottom side caught on fire. I left at the the Pay It Forward basket hoping someone else will have better luck with it.

We've used it a couple times and it's worked very well. We had the cheaper ones and the non-stick was more of a "guaranteed stick". The Partner is a hell of a lot heavier duty than the bargain brands.

What hotspring was that? I was thinking about making a trip to Sloquet hot springs this winter but don't know if it's accessible or not.

That's an awesome campsite. Yeah I'm really torn between the two. Lol. I would love the 2500 for the price and room. But not sure if I'll like it mounted. That's the only downsize I guess. I'm going to take a 2x4 and set it on my rack and see. Hahah

You could just get the 2500 cuz the price, mount it and try it out. If it bothers you how it looks just put it up for sale again same price.

When was this? I was there the 31st - 4th and had zero sunsets like this. Did have an awesome rainbow though.

I'm late posting the photo, it was on December 12th. I usually go early December to the springs as it is nice and quiet then. Sounds like there has been plenty of rain and snow since!

Here's he same spot in the summer at clear creek hotsprings. Dog sleeps in cab of truck. Sloquets a lot longer walk so we choose clear creek for new years.(anywheres possible with determination)

Hey guys - What s a good tent that'll fit in the DC 5 foot bed and not break the bank?
Lots of pictures of tents in the bed, but hardly any identify what the tent is.

are you under 5' tall ? any tent thats *in* your bed would have to be the size of the bed... or do you mean a truck top tent that fits above the bed and unfolds to a larger footprint, like a Tepui ? Tepui's run $1000 for a small cartop tent to $3000 or so for a fully loaded tent with side room etcetc.

Jansport makes a nylon tent for our trucks and they won't break the bank. Go on with tailgate down.
