What is worse is being from the Far North and living down here and watching them freak if they see a dusting on the road..I just did my normal pay day errands gas, dog food -biscuits , hair cut and then grocery shopping the amount of people out doing the same dance at 1130 on a work day I was like don't you people have work !! Redners is never packed everyone goes to wally world hence I go to Redners lol and it was crowded. But All done and laundry is done and put up now ready to ...nap ! lol

Oh and the ring dings were great with a fresh cup of coffee as they were cold from being in the back of the truck !! I still hold all of you accountable!!

But when it snows here they break out the signs that say: REPENT - The End is Near.

Life sucks sometimes. My mom is 91 and still like lives on her own, her memory isn't what it used to be but she still does well.
Just left a funeral for her friend of 70 years. We grew up with this family and she was a big part of my life, she, however, did not have a graceful end. She was in a hospice at the end because she was always agitated and didn't know what was going on. It was very hard to watch.

She was buried in a famous cemetary in LA, same place as M. Monroe and others, I parked next to this:

91 and still living alone is amazing. My mother is 74 and the wheels are coming off. Hope your mother gets to stay independent until the end. Stay away from "senior care" places. They just want your money.

    Merv is dead?

I have a couple aunts into their 90's as well as my wife's grandmother and all are still very independent. My dad's sister is 92, has a spread of land in the mountains and does very well. Some slight short term memory retention loss but not much else. She finally had to give up her ccw because she couldn't run the action anymore, but she still packs so it wouldn't be advisable to show up unannounced.

92 and still packing heat is friggin awesomeness. Bless her, hope she stays happy for as long as she wants.

Must be funny if someone does show up unannounced. "This gun holds 6 shots and I can't remember if I shot 5 or 6, do you feel lucky"

    "No seriously I don't remember"

I have a bunch of Floyd on my ipod...some is a little hard to listen to but it makes great background music when I'm running equipment all day.
