OK, been feeling a strange rotational type vibration for a while, I'll try to be specific. This morning I noticed it more, May be due to low outside temps (about 15 degrees F). Seems to happen between 2300-2500 rpm and does not seem to be speed related. Does not happen when stopped. I haven't tried coasting yet...i will do that. A/c compressor does not change it, and I was beginning to think it was tire related but perhaps not since speed doesn't seem to be a factor in the frequency. I can feel it in the steering wheel as well as the floor and it seems to occur approximately every 4 seconds. It's not extreme, doesn't effect driveability, more of an irritation. happens in 2wd either in town or at hwy speeds. Haven't noticed it in 4x4 but generally I'm on rough roads when in 4x4 and I may not feel it. Also steering or turning does not change it. New wheel bearings and fairly new drive line u joints. Any suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks everyone!

Sounds like it may possibly be the ol' carrier bearing bushing in the front diff. I have a similar issue.

Grease your u-joints, if you haven't already. Always start simple.

Other than that, its possibly the driveshaft center support bearing. Which it could be since its an 05.

If you are lifted, it could be the drivers side diff bearing that can be fixed with the ECGS poly bushing. Get it on a nice straight stretch of road when its making the noise, and if 4x4 makes it go away this is likely your culprit.

What kind of tires do you have, @grvygirl83 ?

    Welcome to the club! :hattip:

Have you ever had wheel bearings replaced?

Have you ever had the carrier bearing checked? As well as grabbed the driveshaft and tried moving it around, to look for slop in the U-joints?
