    Hi All,
I'm new here, so apologies in advance if this is a noob question.
I'm thinking about getting a full size spare to keep in the bed of my truck only while off road. (I dread the thought of trying to get the spare mounted under the bed while on a muddy trail)
I looked around here and found horror stories about equipment that mounts directly to the bed rail. I think this is the one some other people have tried: hyperlink
I'm curious to hear about anything else people here have tried.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Put some d-rings down and get a strap set or two. IMG_4382.jpgI know it's hard to see but that's how I held mine in place.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
On top of the cab on a prinsu or bajarack works great as well and saves your bed space

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I'm going for a swing out tire carrier. Keeps the bed clear, and also keeps me from pulling a 35" tire from the roof.

I've had no issues with this set up. Between the two bolts to the bed rail and the strap over top, it's rock solid...

2 long bolts through lug holes into a front bed rail. They're just there to keep it from falling. A ratchet strap over top holds it in the bed.
