i have a TRDOR and where the headliner and head unit console meet there is a constant vibration. If I tap on it you can hear something vibrating. It's the most annoying sound in the world. What is the best way to remove that head unit without breaking anything so I can fix whatever is vibrating?

While I'm at it, if the driver side window is cracked an inch it wobbles back and forth and makes another horrible rattling sound that's extreamly annoying.

And the clutch makes a squeaking sound every time I depress and let the clutch out.

Any ideas on how to fix these issues?

    Hey bobbybreach,
This is actually my first time posting to TacomaWorld... I have the EXACT same issues as you. I have a slight vibration window on the driver's side, but not passenger. I just discovered my headliner vibration today. OMG. Very annoying. Please tell me you have found a fix for this. I actually am not that annoyed with the driver's window thing. The headliner is my main concern. I am having trouble finding evidence on how exactly to remove that panel. I am confident I can fix it with some black electrical tape and various things, if I can only find out how to remove without damaging.

If you're talking about the panel with the dome light, off-road controls, etc., it simply pulls down. It's held in place with four clips, one on each corner. Get your fingers under one edge and gently pull down with progressively more force - it'll come out quite easily.

when most people are talking about a head unit in a vehicle, aren't they usually talking about the stereo/control center???????

OH, OK! It is just one of those things that feels like it might break, but I am just not giving it enough force. I had tried to slightly pull it, but was scared to take it further. Thanks for the quick reply. I will post an update once I try and maybe even a pic or two if it will help people. Probably in for the night so I will try it in the morning.
