I have 6 pr. for work and need to replace 1 or 2 of those prs. I get a new pair every 6 mos. It's nice having decent boots every day.

Those Burly Lacrosse are in the same category as the Muck. Youtube search "Muck vs Lacrosse" ... I came across a few video reviews when researching which model of Muckboot I wanted. My buddy has the Chore, I got the Muckmaster. Caribou and moose don't care if boots are brown, black, or camo, unlike ducks. So I don't pay the extra for camo boots.

I think you could probably use those Lacrosse until they're worn out, then consider a Muckboot for replacement. But then, boots are like handguns...the brand that works for one guy might not for another. ;)

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
Evening folks! Glad this week is over. I'm exhausted.

We are into the kitchen renovation. The new granite counter tops were installed today - they are awesome! But there is always something that is a challenge...

They split the veneer on the side of one of my cabinets, while taking off the old backsplash. I'm optimistic that the new backsplash (which is 5", as opposed to 3") will hide it - it would be difficult to match.
    Cabinet.jpg

And then, the new faucet that we bought hits the dam window sill and it won't sit flat on the sink, so we are either going to need to redo the window sill (which is what "she who has the stronger opinion" wants to do), or we will have to get a standard faucet as opposed to a tall faucet (which is what "he, who is right" wants to do. I think we all know that we will be redoing the window sill. :notsure:
    faucet.jpg

Anyway... hope everyone is well, as I have not been able to keep up this week at all, and just wanted to say "hey".

(and I also see we are on page 1957 - which is the year I was born)

Thanks for the info Chris, I'm hoping she won't have to move from the current facility. I've been watching her money and she literally paid enough to buy a Ferrari 452 just to get into their "system". For that she got an apartment she can't go back to, and a one room "studio" in assisted living. They have tripled her monthly fees over the last year to a point where her savings will be gone in a few years. I really don't know if I should pull her out, or hope they keep her in the same place after she runs out of money.
At times I get so frustrated that I hope she passes quickly and I get the satisfaction of pulling her remaining money away from these buzzards. Damn them for making me think this way.

Don't beat yourself up. The thought that these groups suck the people dry and you want to protect the money they worked hard for is normal.

Nope, that was me... Estimate the cost to replace the sill stupidly expensive. I've had some luck using this method in the past.
