My GF has an older iPod with a bunch of music on it. We tried to play it in my truck the other day. We connected it via the USB outlet, but couldn't figure out how to play it. There is no bluetooth on the iPod and it didn't override the FM or AM station that was on.

Is playing music from the iPod even possible? I have the same question I guess about a USB flash drive that has music on it....

    Can they be played?

Ok I knew I wasn't crazy....there is no AUX button on the stock radio. I'll need to dig into this a bit more

On my '14 with stock radio (Entune Audio Plus w/o Nav) my iPod shows iPod when connected when pressing the Audio button on the top left.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
You have the touchscreen right? Ipod or aux will show up once an audio source is connected. If you connect the ipod via usb, it will show as ipod. If you connect via aux, itll be aux. if you connect a usb drive, itll show usb.

some of iPods and iPhones act differently when connected, so I use the headphone jack with older ones.
