    yes.

The Maze area for instance is very dangerous when wet. It rained almost 1'' a day or two before we got there. Helped with the dust which was nice. The evidence of washouts though is very apparent. That and the mud there is awful. Some of the washouts i bet are full of water in the spring and I doubt we could cross the Dirty Devil river in the spring.

    Be interesting.

This was talked about before our trip. I think the Dirty Devil is either a piss trickle, or a flash flood. It's hit or miss in the spring.

The rest of the entire Maze district I don't think would present that much of a problem unless you happened to be caught in a downpour.

Probably true. Idk how much rain they get in the spring, but we had a surprising amount while we where there. Well we saw a ton. Luckily only got rained on ourselves twice.

Only Lands end and Flint i think would be bad in the rain. Parts of the Doll house would be bad too. Poison Creek has the dirty devil and who knows what the creek itself does in the rain.

But i bet its gorgeous in the spring too.

My understanding of the dirty devil crossing is that it floods from run off and rains in the Henry Mountains. Not really down where the crossing is on the Posion Springs Road. We were concerned about this when we hit it:

Luckily we didn't catch one of those 1000cfs peaks. This picture cracks me up with @Wishbone Runner swimming across the might dirty devil:

I don't know about that doofus flopping around in the mud, but this is probably the best damn truck picture in the whole thread.

Haha, that was fun. Literally only a few inches deep across the whole thing. There was a decent hole up above that where you could get most of your body submerged.

Tossed some new valve cover gaskets in. They've been weeping slightly ever since I bought the truck.

Then worked on my new navigation setup:

Is that Moab dust hanging out on the dash still?!:luvya:
RAM mount looks good. Can you get a photo from the back to show how it mounts?

I think you're seeing Colorado dust, it has long since covered up the Moab dust. It's a truck. I use it offroad. It's dirty.

What exactly do you want to see?

    I used this part:

    https://www.amazon.com/Panavise-Cus...id=1483835036&sr=8-2&keywords=panavise+tacoma

Then just a RAM mount base, arm, and x-mount.

I just took those pictures! :brianr:

 We'll see how well it holds up to having a 7" tablet mounted to it offroad.

I have photos on how it mounts. Pretty simple but nice mount.

How's it hold your tablet Brett? My ham radio moves on it.

Don't know. I got it done, took those pictures, and went inside. Will report back after driving with it, which will probably be in a month or two. I'll be using a different tablet with it as well.

One think I noticed that surprised me, was based on the design of the x-mount, after you get the tablet in there, it's able to rotate. Need to figure out how to stop that.

    That's the rubber ball slipping.

I used the x brace? Rubber and like thing for my phone. Idk if there is a tablet one.

Not sure how that'll work with a tablet honestly. I think it's gonna move too much.
