Yes, but it's difficult to close. Main reason I got the air mattress was I didn't find my foam mattress to be very comfortable. I'm a heavy guy, and I felt like I sank right to the floor with just my foam mattress.

Yup good feedback... assumed you took out the entire foam mattress to make everything fit. I use to be able to keep the sleeping bags in the tent when closed up until I got the topper. Now I currently have the original foam + foam topper + plus a single blanket and it folds up completely, but it's a tight fit. Anytime I need to bring the sleeping bags along they come separate. Would be nice to just keep them in there all the time.

yeah it was only like 30-40ish outside, but I wanted to test out the heater. Figured out 5 minutes isn't enough, all the heat gets let out when you open the tent. 15 minutes lets the sleeping bag get nice and toasty.

So I had all 3 setup last weekend for comparisons. FreeSpirit, 23Zero, and CVT Bachelor (1st time set up). There were distinct differences in my opinion. I know this will start a sh*t storm, but I paid for all 3 NEW RTT's, so I figure I can say what I want to say.

    In order of quality:

    1. 23Zero: HANDS DOWN the best. thicker canvass, better stitching, feels softer, so more manageable to stow. All hardware fits perfectly. Nothing binds on open or close. Just works perfectly. The mattress is not only thicker, but MUCH MORE dense. My old man knees ca crawl around in it with no issues! Absolutely love everything about it.

    2. FreeSpirit: Operates perfectly. I have no issues with it except the mattress. My daughter thinks its fine, we use a memory foam topper with it, and then when done camping, roll it up, cinch it up, and stow it underneath. I've spent many nights in this camper, most with my late wife who was dealing with SEVERE bone pain, and she slept well in it too.

    3. CVT: There's so much fuss over these things. Don't get me wrong, they are great RTT's but are far from the best. I am sure there are a lot worse, but with my money spent, sitting in my yard side by side, CVT is #3. Mattress is same as FreeSpirit, canvass is and stitching do not appear as good as the FreeSpirit.

I had them all set up because it attracted attention and I was selling the FreeSpirit. 3 potential buyers as well as the new owner (yes it sold) all agreed on my quality assessment.

I hope that answers your question.

I was definitely eyeing the 23Zero when I was shopping, but I got a stellar deal on my CVT and love it
