Been shocked by price of $1000 to replace front strut assembly and rear shocks. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Dennis

    Dennis,
Yes, that quote is indeed outrageous. The rears on a first generation are really easy to do yourself. Does that quote you just gave include the front coil springs?
    Good Luck,

If you have the tools and time this is a job you can do in a day or two. Depending on the shocks and struts the parts alone could cost between 400-... A lot. If your thinking of lifting her now would be a good time. If you look around theres a lot of posts that can walk you through the job.

Let us know what you decide. Honestly 1k for parts plus labor isnt too bad. Theres a bit if work needed to do the fronts. Backs take ten minutes each.
