Butcher Jones Trail to 4 Peaks Road- December 2016

Since I still had never been to Butcher Jones near Saguaro Lake, @JTS2014TACO and I decided to do a quick run out there and check it out. I'm glad I was finally able to get out there and see it, the views were pretty awesome! I also got to use my newly downloaded LeadNav App which made for easy navigation We aired down for smooth wheeling and headed toward Cove 1 first, lemme just say these ADS 3.0's floating on 24-25psi is what dreams are made of!


Parked at Cove 1, but didn't stay too long since there were quite a few people camped out. Definitely will be coming back to check out all the coves when we have more time!


Heading out to 4 Peaks road. When the day I finally own a RZR comes, this trail is near the top of my list to break it in

Crown King Trail - December 2016

The next day after Butcher Jones, @JTS2014TACO and I headed out early to run the Backway to Crown King Trail North of Lake Pleasant. This was another trail I always wanted to do with my Tacoma but the trail is long, 4x4 recommended, and always changing from the weather. Now that I've done it I have no doubt I could've run it in Rinzler, but moving on to bigger and better things this year I'm glad I could run this trail for the first time in Tron We had planned for a few more trucks but it ended up being just us and @Brian007Taco

I need to teach Jamie how to take landscape pics but it was a slightly stressful situation haha. Couple obstacles in and I was reminded how long this truck is...but I still made it over with a little skinny pedal and use of my @SDHQ OFFROAD Sliders


Made it! Looks so simple from here, but looking at the size of the road below you can sort of get an idea


I have a lot of GoPro video to go through from this trip and plan to upload it. I recorded myself going through most the obstacles but don't have pics... This obstacle was tight for Tron and I have some new battle scars on the sliders, but for Jamie's taco it was a really good articulation challenge. He got hung up just before this, but with a quick shift into crawl control it literally walked right through the rest of it. His front tire was off the ground in the first one, and the rear tire was teetering in the second pic!

Made it to the top and headed straight to the Saloon for a celebratory beer! Only took us 3 hours and 50 min to get there! Just in time to watch my Packers beat the Bears tho!

New Years Eve Shenanigans 2016

For new years eve, the wife and I drove up to Flagstaff, AZ to stay with our good friends and family. Wasn't really planning to wheel, but there was snow with a ton on the way, and I had not seen snow for the entire year of 2016! So with that said Mike, Andrew and I all headed out toward Schnebly Hill Road from Flagstaff for some muddy snow wheeling!

New Years Day 2017

It dumped some serious snow New Years morning, it was glorious!





Then the wife and I headed down to Sedona for the day and enjoyed the rain.... seriously the coolest place to be when it rains!

Bulldog Canyon Prerun 1/13/17

With the big AZ Toyota Meet coming up, @PLC721 @JTS2014TACO and I all did a prerun in Bulldog Canyon to make sure it was 2wd friendly for those guys coming out. It was a an awesome cloudy day and we took advantage of some pics
