Hello, New here, and trying to learn. I am looking to purchase and install ( with help) the Bilstein adjustable 3" lift kit with 5100 shock on my 2013 TRD double cab long bed. On the Bilstein lifts site, it states that "some double cab models require top plate spacers to achieve full 3" lift".
Does anyone have experience with this set-up? If so what double cab models need the spacers?
Mahalo in advance for any help!

The 5100's on the top notch will shake your fillings out stiffer than morning wood.

Dukestaco, is it that rough a ride all the time? Or just when moving in aggressive off-road situations? Im 95% on road use...beach sand to get to my fishing spot once in a while. Nothing very hardcore at all really. The 150 yard road leading into my house is probably the worst conditions I will be consistently driving through--countless pot holes...some deeper than others. My truck is currently stock and my mudflaps scrape the gravel and dirt even just creeping and through some of them.

I have gone through several suspension set upa trying to find the right ride. The stock ride was to soft for me and not the look I wanted. I did 5100's on the 1.25 clip with stock coils first. The ride with that set up was stiff. It was so stiff that the truck had little to no brake dive. If you go to the top clip it would be even stiffer. I then went to 1/2 inch spacer on passenger side and 3/4 inch on driver side with the 5100's on the .85 setting. That ride was almost like stock but a little firmer. I liked it but did not like it over bumps at compression. You could feel the loss of uptravel.
I am know running eibach 3 inch coils that settled at 2 1/2 inches. The ride is great of road but not perfect on road. I would like it a little softer but by far the best set up to date. The stock coils are 590 rates at 590 lbs. If you compress them that increases. The eibach 3 inch coils are 600 lbs close but not perfect. Before my next alignment I am planning on buying some Old man emu 884 coils. The OME884's are rated at 590lbs and should give 2 1/4 inch up front. Hope all this helps.
