As my book nears the end of its first year since publication, I want to thank those of you with an interest in Old California history and Baja California travel for your support of my years of research and time to write and publish this book about the discovery of California and the 27 missions founded between 1697 and 1834 ('Baja' was only known as 'California,' first and not renamed Baja [Lower] California until after 1769 when the occupation of Alta [Upper] California began, with the mission at San Diego).

Last Saturday, before my most recent PowerPoint lecture about my book and Baja California, a cinematographer asked if he could make a short promo video of my book. Here that is, filmed in the Borrego Desert, near Font's Point: https://vimeo.com/198629711

The book is available from my website: www.vivabaja.com which redirects to the publisher site: www.oldmissions.com (free shipping in the U.S. and no added tax)

The book is also available from Amazon.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, SunbeltPublications.com, DiscoverBaja.com, and many Southwest and Baja California locations, such as Mission San Luis Rey gift shop, SDSU Aztec book store, Baja Cactus Motel in El Rosario, El Caballo Blanco book store in Loreto, etc.

    Thank you!
