I went bolt on... I didnt think weld on would be that much stronger than the bolt ons I chose for my use but time will tell I guess. I can also install myself since I cant weld and dont know anyone I could ask to help me get it done without just straight up paying a stranger/shop. Part of me kinda wish I went with weld on for the lower cost and less weight.

Less rain is good to me. Being my first time out with limited recovery points it will hopefully mean I have less chance of getting stuck this weekend! I ran by Collin Bros Jeep on my way home from helping a friend move today and got my OHV sticker so I'm almost ready for Barnwell. Now its time to go install my sliders so they are ready to put to the test weekend!

I have a friends and family with welders so its not much of an issue to get them welded on for me. I would have just made my own sliders but that is a bit more of a project than i would like someone to do for free. Plus it takes time to get them just right. I wanted to get the cheaper DIY sliders kit from @RelentlessFab but they stopped making them. Both my bumpers were DIY kits, this will be my first complete product from them...

Also hopefully you will not have to test your sliders at all! Good lines and slow speeds should help keep you off rocks and trees. Mud will make it fun though!

But it's so satisfying to use your sliders. I love pivoting around a tree instead of making a 16 point turn.

And for painting welded ones, I tape up newspaper to the doors and go ham with a spray can.

I can do abrams and 635 @615. I was coming down 75 to 635 so it works well for me. I was going to pick up 2 ways either tomorrow or friday but if I dont I will def borrow one.

That method is what I read up on and it doesnt sound too bad but I already picked bolt on. I do believe they will be fully able to protect my truck with what ever I get into.

I do have a hitch w/DRing adapter and the factory front tow hook. I know the factory front hook isnt the best but it will do for now. I'll either get a DRing replacement or save and get the SSO Slimline front bumper later this year. I am planning on adding a winch and the SSO Slimline bumper no mater what once I can afford it.

Most tow straps you can toss through the hitch and put the pin through it. Easy and sometime safer alternative to the hitch shakle. As long as the front is factory tow hook and not the tie down for transport. Looks like angle iron with a hole

I have the sos reinforced front shackle mount. If someone gets stuck with no front recovery, can unbolt it and put it on their truck.

    Ill also have axle straps
