I've never had anything besides stock wheels on a car, but I can't stand looking at the steelies on my SR anymore. I want a toyota rim, but not looking to break the bank. Also black because cool.

I'm eyeing a set of the 7-spoke 4runner Trail Edition rims on craigslist locally, and then painting them.

    Part # 42611-35540
    Link: http://www.oempartworld.com/oe-toyota/4261135540
    Diameter 17
    Width 7.5
    Offset +15
    Hub Bore 106

Now I'm pretty sure they will fit on my truck (3rd Gen SR V6 auto Doublecab), even if I go up to a 265/70/R17 tire, but will my wheel studs be too short for my lugs?

Will I be able to use my tpms from the steelies? I read somewhere that the steelies and alloys have different sensors. When I called the dealer today, the tech said that I could re-use the sensors, but the fittings are different?

Second, any recommendations for painting the rims? Plasti-dip vs painting vs powdercoating?

Any help, recommendations, advice is appreciated. Never really done this before and just a little nervous about getting stuck with a set of rims that don't fit.

Thanks. Tacomaworld has been a wealth of knowledge so far.
