Larger 3rd Gen Fuel Tank?

    Bump.

    I wonder this every time I fuel up. Would it have killed them to give us 8 more gallons? Gas isn't that heavy.

    didnt feel like making a new thread on this, but can anyone comment if the OEM tank is programmed to only "see" 21.1 gallons of gas? Reason I mention is because the underside of the tacoma looks like there is a cavity, probably a few gallons can fit http://interunet.com/sites/default/...Toyota-Tacoma-TRD-Pro-under.jpg?itok=uI9YdFLZ . If the plastic can be drilled and plumbed to just feed into the main tank, that be cool. Or maybe the 4runner has a similar enough mount?
