Cali Raised wiring question

My secret Santa got me 2 ditch lights for Christmas! I ordered brackets and the wiring harness from Cali raised. The harness has the 2 plugs so you can connect there ditch lights to the harness.. well mine lights have the red and black wire.. should I cut the plugs off and just connect the wires? Also it came with an on/off switch that won't fit in the empty spot in my truck.. should I cut that and order a switch from Amazon? I've never done any wiring before so I'm stuck..

 

I'd cut and solder or crimp the lights to the harness and get a new switch. Here's my install with the caliraised fog lights (same idea). You may find it helpful.
