Rear trailers are notorious for locking up, and they are usually lighter, too, making it even more likely.

FedEx rarely operates long vans, so I figured that's what it was form the start.

I used to be a hostler at Viking Freight System, long since absorbed by Roadway and then FedEx. Basically spent the entire shift reversing 28-foot pups at warp 9 to dock doors, breaking up and building sets of doubles, and backing con-gears still attached to the front trailers to hook up sets or dump them off in the pool.

You are old enough to recall these, I bet.

Plus the house I sold in Oakland 2yrs ago is now worth more then the house I live in Walnut Creek. Go figure

 

Gentrification. It's turning around Oakland into one of the most wanted places to live.
Except for deep East Oakland. That area may take a while.
