Maybe I'm missing it. Where does the microSD card go? I see the location for the map card to the bottom right portion of the stereo but didn't look to see if there was another spot for a microSD card. I'd rather do this and free up my USB port.

Ok...same size as the flashdrive I bought. The good part of this is, you can swap out cards if you need to.

Yep, since 160GB was mentioned and the thumbnail drives like that Sandisk seem to max out at 128GB right now I didn't bring that one up.

 

I was under the impression that the Entune system could only handle 32, maybe 64 gig. If some one can verify it will work with large storage I'm on it.

 

The Entune radio will only handle 9,999 songs. I use a splitter and have (2) 64 gb tiny USB flash drives plugged into the dash.

 

So, how many years of continuous listening does 9,999 songs get you with no repeats?

 

I bought a black 4-inch USB/lightning cable and velcroed the iPod to the underside of the switch plate (over the wireless charging pad). All you can see from the outside of the truck is a couple inches of the black cable (not the iPod).

 

Me too... great idea. I also want a pair of USB charging ports in the glovebox to charge my winch controller

 

That's pretty much drop dead simple. Grab a 12VDC to 5VDC USB converter off Amazon and a bulkhead connector. Tap into the back of the aux power plug for your power. Do you need *two* charging ports for your winch controller?

do you have it as folders or just the files?
I do the same in my jetta, picking up my truck on saturday and was curious if I can keep it the same.
I know when I had a camry rental I tried swapping the USB into it but didn't work the same.

My jetta has it all as folders and thats how its organized by genre - artist - album
But I'm under the impression the toyota system works off just the files and ID3 tags which sucks cause not all of mine are labeled and I still want it organized by my folders
ripped too many old bad religion albums where its just track 1 track 2 track 3 lol

 

As best as I can tell from the FSM it looks like you start with the side panel at the right edge of the dash (clips), then the panel next to the glove box (clips, straight out), then remove the airbag assembly below the glove box (make DAMN sure the battery is disconnected) and set it on the floor wrapped in a towel, then remove the four screws around the glove box assembly and it comes out.

I haven't looked closely in the truck itself on that stuff yet though.

 

I just copied my iTunes music folder over to a 32G flash drive and leave it in the USB port. I have Entune play randomly. The song title and artwork are displayed on the head and I've found the music to be a bit clearer and louder than going through a BT connection from my iPhone.
