Hey guys so I know TC recommends re greasing the UCAs every 5k (I might be off with that number). I tried doing it today and ran into some issues.
I loosed the through bolt and started pumping the zerk. No grease was escaping, and the bushing started to swell. I immediately stopped and loosed the through bolt even more. at this point the nut is basically off. The bushing started to press off the arm a little, still no grease was escaping. So I retightened everything down, the bushing pressed back in and it swelled back up. Still no grease escaped. So i pressed the zerk nipple to release the pressure. The bushing went back to normal, but all the new grease i just pumped in was let back out.
    Am I doing something wrong?

sounds like you may have a clogged up grease zerk.
even though the grease is making its way through the zerk fitting, something still isnt right. since the grease came back out of the zerk fitting, its obvious that something is wrong with it.
i ran into a similar issue like this on my 92 pickup. then i found this http://www.gemplers.com/product/109...2025!&ef_id=WGwNXwAAAH8QmlFx:20170112201122:s ...and it works wonders and is well worth the money. you can get it on Amazon and get it shipped in two days to your home. great tool

The grease comes back out because I press the zerk nipple with a screw driver to release the pressure. I want it to come back out. The problem is it doesn't seep out the sides like it's supposed to.

Did you jack the truck up? Be sure and tighten the through bolt with the truck on the ground.

No I didn't jack it up. Will that help with the grease escaping?
And tighten the through bolt with truck in ground?

 take the pressure off by jacking the truck up. Final torque of the thru bolt should be done with the truck on the ground. TC has a nice you tube video about it somewhere

I'll give it a try tomorrow. Thanks bro. Feel pretty dumb for not thinking about jacking it up. :frusty:

Yup jack it up a bit then try, just enough for the tire to be off of the ground
