hello all, so I'm cruising down the road, notice I have a check engine light on. Took the truck to the dealer and got the light figured out (need a new fuel pump due to a emission problem) but they dropped a $2400 bomb on me. I have a leak from my timing chain cover. They didn't specify which gasket in the stack. So I'm wondering if this is something I could tackle myself? If it is, how long would one expect to do the job? I have some good knowledge on how to turn a wrench, like clutches, suspension, things like that but limited time actually working on the engine itself. I don't want to drive a truck with a leak but I also don't have 2500 bones laying around.
