was it the urd kit? we're you able to run off the base tune that comes with the kit, or did you have to re-tune it? got any videos or links to these setups you've done?

No wasn't the URD kit, but it used the same rotrex supercharger and on the same engine and transmission. I tuned it with perfect power SMT8, which is inferior to the MAPECU3 that comes with the URD kit.

Awesome! Let us know how it goes. That four banger sure wakes up with a supercharger on it!

The HiLux now comes with a new version of the 2TR engine, with dual VVT-i. The engine is identical to the old one, except for the exhaust cam VVT controller and sensor. I don't know if the Tacoma now comes with the new version or not. I think all old 2TR kits will easily fit the new 2TR.

They quit making rotrex sx100 oil so I use sx150 which is the same thing.

I am also curious on this.. does the stock clutch in the 5spd hold up to the extra torque? Hopefully they hold up better than the clutches in the supercharged v6's

All season mats, 2nd filter delete, DT header, Jardine cat-back, URD shifter, Bilstein 5100's all around at .85 front with Eibachs + .25 passenger/.5 drivers spacers and 1.5 AAL, 0w20 synthetic, Scanguage II, extra D rings, OEM backup camera+Mirror, bed mat, Extang Solid Fold, Popnlock 5300, Pro Comp 7089's 4.5bs 285/70/17 Revo 2s, De-badged
I would almost guarantee the stock clutch is not great with the kit. A new one is not too expensive and probably a good idea. Also URD has the stage 2 which is apparently a good boost of power too

Added this to compliment the upcoming URD SC kit. I'm curious to see how my stock clutch will hold up as well. Not looking to launch or race anyone.

The kit is being installed as I'm typing this. So far there has been a few minor hick-ups, but nothing overwhelming or couldn't be adjusted.
The kit is pretty straight forward thus far. Installtion should be completed by tomorrow.
