Went out to eat with a friend tonight it was good to not eat my own cooking for a change. Every once in a while anyhow.

Got up to 6 above today so cleaned off the deck and put on new grill covers.

    grill covers.jpg new covers.jpg

The smoker is ready to go in the morning. Pulled 9 pounds of pork loin out of cure today and it is air drying now. Should have some decent Canadian Bacon tomorrow. And the next day. And day after that. And the next :) Food vacuum sealer came today and haven't even had a chance to play with it. Will have to wait until morning now. Did get some more maple syrup so things are looking up.

Mornin folks...mid 30s here, no freezing rain or ice that the weather guessers predicted. I'm gonna swing by the car wash to knock off the salt and slurry from this week. Gonna have to hand wash it soon though. I hope everyone is doing well, y'all take care and have a good day.

 Morning. I haven't read up, starting to think I'm gonna have to adopt the old "drop in and roll with it" tactic for this thread too; just reply to tags.
Yep ... been doing the rollover nap an hour since midnight. :pccoffee: Hope you're feeling some better despite jacked up sleep.

:hattip: Hows's the shoulder/elbow compensation pain?

Good morning everyone! Still here on "snow duty" may as well be rain duty. We didn't get what they were calling for. Maybe go home at noon we'll see. Have a great day!

Knocking on wood, I haven't been tagged for whiz quiz since I started this civil service gig, although I am subject to it. It's usually our civil service drivers/equipment operators that get tagged. Funny part is they can't "watch" civilians when they provide their sample. So the parameters are crazy; buddy of mine had to go back to provide his sample 3 times because 1) too cold 2) too watery. I guess they have all kinds of cheating, where folks bring in someone else's urine to put in the bottle, so they have to monitor temperature and purity of the samples provided by civilians. o_O

I wasn't aware that it wasn't like on active duty, until he told me.
