EBC green stuff pads. I run their slotted/dimpled rotors also and never had an issue in mud and sand. Great stopping power compared to stock. But don't just take my word. Maybe just stick with non slotted/dimpled rotors and run the EBC green stuff pads.

Got the EBC Green stuff pads and "sport" series rotors (dimpled and slotted) for Madisons truck, I have a set to install on my truck tomorrow actually.

Drilled rotors catch a bad rep for being more prone to cracking. It comes from racing where they're made from carbon and not really a problem to worry about made from iron for street vehicles. Rocks can get stuck in them so not the best option for off road.
Slotted is a great choice because it allows brake gas to escape more quickly giving you a better initial bite.
A smooth rotor is ideal for almost everyone unless you want the fancy trick cool stuff. My factory rotors are still on my truck with 133k+ and shop said they're still fine. I'm only changing them because I don't trust rotors with that much use on them.

If you want a smooth rotor I'd go OEM or Centric Premium.
Slotted- Stop Tech or EBC ultimax.
    Dimpled and slotted - EBC.

Centric makes the rotors for Toyota, and Stop Tech makes the TRD big brake kits. Centric owns stop tech.

Yeah I heard rocks and crude can get in drilled and slotted. I Think I will just have mine turned and do a good ceramic. I hear the green pads cause a lot of dust. I still have stock rims and cleaning them is a bitch. Don't think I need some fancy pants shit. I try to follow the K.I.S.S. rule when I comes to these type of things.

Ceramic pads are a great choice. Check out Posi Quiet Ceramic pads. Also made by centric aka: they know Toyota spec.
Green stuff isn't bad on dust, the yellow stuff are the dusty ones. High dust but excellent stopping power. Green stuff is low dust and a moderate improvement in stopping strength over stock.

519epDGsnWL._SY400_.jpg They are not drilled all the way through. They are just dimpled. But I hear you on the KISS rule. I ran stock Toyota pads and rotors until I hit 175k miles. I was more than happy with them. I heard a while ago that the TRD racing team uses the stock pads over their TRD racing pads because they had more feel. I just went with the EBC setup because of the increased breaking performance. Time will tell how long they will last. My stock rotors were still in great shape at 175k miles. But like @eccracer104 said, after that many miles it was time to replace them. It's a wash on replacing with Genuine Toyota parts or go after market. Can't go wrong with Genuine Toyota.
