    Hey All,

Obviously Im new here... I did do a search, but just didnt find what I was looking for, so my apologies if this has been discussed a few times...

I upgraded my suspension with King Coilovers in the front, Bilstein 5100s in the rear, and an added leaf. This gave me a roughly 1.5 - 2.0 inch lift. Shortly after, my CV boots tore and made a mess under my truck resembling the morning after a long night of drinking. Im not sure if the new angle from the lift had anything to do with that, or they were just on their last leg anyway.

My question is... what is a good upgrade for the stock CVs???

Stay oem. Theyre the strongest option while still being a weak point (better break an axle then to break something in the diff)

Just replace the boots and do boot slide mod or get high angle boots.

    I second what devin said^^^

I take it you have auto hubs?? Its pretty common for guys with auto hubs to have boot issues after a new.lift due to them constantly spinning and now toutching while spinning where as manual hub trucks have far less boot issues reaulting from the cv's only.spinning while in 4wd. I forget what company has high angle boots but a quick google search should do the trick.

Also a good trick to searching on here is to not use tje search function but to use Google and end your search with "tacoma world" its far better than the in house search feature!! With that said doing that might result in you finding the aftermarket high angle boots! I know they've been discussed in here more than once.
