New to trucks so new to this forum as well and I just wanted to take a second to say what a great place this is and give some special thanks to Roman (tretiak30) and Ford (frdbyrne) for helping make it so. The site helped me accurately diagnose the vibration issue I was having in my 2016 as the seemingly too common needle bearing CV/diff problem. Ford was kind enough to send me the special tool required to install the ECGS bushing and today, i spent a few hours with Roman as he did the install for me. Can't thank these guys enough as the problem is completely gone with the new bushing installed. Thanks so much for the help guys, hoping that as my non-Jeep truck experience grows, I can help out some members in the future as well.

For any of you that are near NE Ohio, I cannot recommend Roman highly enough if you need parts or work done on your rig. He's experienced and beyond meticulous when it comes to the work and frankly, a great guy to spend some time hanging out with while he performs an exorcism on the truck! Anyway, thanks again guys and Tacoma World. Stoked to be part of it all.

Congrats on the fix! Why didn't you use your warranty? Dealership problems?

I was going to warranty but from what I read, it sounds like the dealer fix is to simply install another needle bearing, albeit a "better" one. Based on how its designed, the ECGS bushing should be a better long term solution since it isolates any movement where there CV shaft enters the diff which the needle bearing setup does not at current spec. If it were a really expensive fix, I would have gone warranty for sure but fortunately, this one is pretty cheap.
